How to purchase tickets

Explore our program and find your favorites. Then add them to your own schedule. When you are ready to purchase your tickets just press “buy ticket” under any film/event. You will then be redirected to Ticksters web shop where your favourites are collected.

You can also buy tickets directly from Ticksters webshop.

Starting February 8th, tickets and membership cards can also be purchased at KulturDirekt at Kulturhuset, Sergels torg.

Opening hours Kulturdirekt:

Monday – Friday 11 am – 6 pm
Saturday & Sunday 11 am – 4 pm.

During the festival (March 6th – 12th) the box offices at the cinemas will open one hour prior to the first screening, and close at the beginning of the last.

Payment by credit card only at the festival venues!

Purchased tickets cannot be reimbursed. Arrive in time for the screenings or else the seats might be taken. The age limit for the screenings is 15 years old.

Film and breakfast: SEK 180
Seminars/Masterclass:  Admission free for all seminars with Tempo’s membership card, if there are seats available.
Events: Free if not specified in the program.
Opening gala: SEK 250
Closing party:  Free entrance until midnight, then SEK 120.

Membership cards: SEK 60. SEK 40 for students, unemployed and senior citizens. The membership card is mandatory and personal and needs to be presented, together with a valid ticket, for each event. The membership card is valid from February 2017 to February 2018 and grants you entrance to at least four preview screenings until the next festival!

Offer: All 18 year olds (born 1999) are treated a free membership card. Just show your ID in the ticket counters!

Festival package: Buy three tickets or more and get a membership card for free. NOTE that this offer applies to purchase of all tickets at once. The package cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts and does not apply to the parties. You have to add the membership card in you order at Tickster, but free of charge.


Nominees for Tempo Short Award

Eight short documentaries are competing in the Tempo Short Award for the prestigious prize for best documentary short film about a maximum of 30 minutes. Of the eight nominees, two of them have premiere screenings during the Tempo Documentary Festival 2017. Read more about the nominees here!  

Nominees for Tempo Documentary Award

The nominations for Tempo Documentary Award is now official! It is one of the biggest competions for long documentaries (over 50 minutes). All the nominated films will be screened at the 18th edition of Tempo Documentary Festival which takes place from 6 to 12 March 2017. Read more about the nominees here!

Nominated for New Doc

New Doc is Tempo Documentary Festival's talent award for promising but as yet unestablished Swedish filmmakers. Nine films are nominated in the competition, and many of them are Swedish premieres during the festival: Izabela, Promise, Raised by Krump, See the Man, Selfie and shame. Kim opens Tempo!

"Kim" opens Tempo Documentary Festival in 2017 and thereby get world premiere! The film is a intimate portrait of Kim Anderzon, a feminist role model who became one of our greatest actors. She created a life where the theater was the focus of both relationships and family. Read more about the movie here!
